What is the difference between the vehicle side warning system and the front and rear parking radar?
Parking radar is a safety auxiliary device, which is used to detect obstacles in front of and behind the vehicle when parking or driving slowly, provide information such as obstacle distance, orientation and area, and give an alarm in time, provide convenience for drivers to follow and merge when parking, driving slowly or congested, and help them reduce or eliminate collision and scratch accidents caused by poor vision when moving forward. It is generally divided into front radar and rear radar. Rear radar refers to reversing radar.
Front radar
Front radar is also what we often call front parking aid. It is a safety auxiliary device when parking or reversing. It is composed of ultrasonic sensor (commonly known as probe), controller and display (or buzzer). It can inform the driver of the surrounding obstacles with sound or more intuitive display, relieve the trouble caused by the driver’s front, rear, left and right visits when parking, reversing and starting the vehicle, help the driver eliminate the defects of dead corner and blurred vision, and improve the safety of driving.
The front radar is designed and developed based on the principle that bats fly at high speed in the dark without colliding with any obstacles. The front radar probe is installed on the front bumper. The probe radiates at an angle of about 45 degrees and searches for targets up, down, left and right. Its biggest advantage is that it can explore the obstacles that are lower than the bumper and difficult for the driver to see from the car, and call the police, such as flower beds, playing children and so on.
Rear reversing radar
Rear reversing radar is a safety auxiliary device when parking or reversing.
When the gear lever is put into reverse gear, the reversing radar will automatically start to work. When the probe detects the rear object, the buzzer will give a warning. When the vehicle continues to reverse, the frequency of the alarm will gradually increase and finally become a long sound.
