LS 870S 4G ADAS System With DMS Camera for Bus, Trucks, Trailers, Commercial & Mining Vehicles

Description

LS-870S advanced driving assistance system, based on leading computer vision technology,utilizes cameras to perceive the road environment, including vehicles, lane lines and pedestrians, in real time and is capable of reducing collision accidents with early warnings when it detects potential collision dangers during driving. LS-870S adas system could be applied to car-hailing, taxi, insurance companies, etc

System Features

ADAS

  1. Lane Departure Warning
    When the vehicle departs from current lane without turn signal on, the system will issue visual andaudible warnings indicating that the driver has deviated from current lane.
  2. Forward Collision Warning
    The system can monitor the vehicle ahead during driving, and promptly remind the driver toslowdown or brake when there is a potential collision hazard to reduce the risk of rear-end collision.
  3. Headway Monitoring Warning
    The system detects vehicles ahead during driving, and when the vehicle fails to keep headway andistoo close to vehicles ahead, it will issue visual and audible alert.
  4. Pedestrian Collision Warning
    The system detects the pedestrians during driving, and it will issue warnings in advanceafter
    detecting potential pedestrian collision dangers.
  5. Data Transmission
    Support 4G data transmission, real-time upload alarm information
  6. Driving Recording
    Support high-definition recording.

Warning Strategies

ADAS Warning Strategies

Features Warning Strategies Description
Forward Collision Warning(FCW) Speed > ≥40km/h, TTC ≤3.0s TTC, time to collision, equals to the distance between two vehicles divided by their relative speed.
Lane Departure Warning(LDW) Speed ≥50km/h when the vehicle changes lanes (the tires start to cross the solid lane line) without turning signal is not turned on
Headway Monitoring and Warning(HMW) Speed > ≥40km/h
Level 1: When HMW ≤1.5s, the alarm will be triggered
Level 2: When HMW is ≤0.8s, the alarm will be triggered
HMW, the distance between the current vehicle and the vehicle ahead / the speed of the current vehicle
Pedestrian Collision Warning(PCW) Level 1: Alarm will be triggered when TTC ≤4.0s
Level 2: Alarm will be triggered when TTC ≤ 3.2s
Level 3: Alarm will be triggered when TTC ≤ 2.7s

Devices Installation

Insert SIM Card & TF Card

Insert SIM card and TF card into the ADAS camera based on the direction indicated beside the slots

Install the ADAS Camera

  1. The ADAS camera should be installed at the center of windshield as high as possible, as shown:
  2. The ADAS camera should be installed at the center bottom part of the windshield for commercial
    vehicles like trucks, steps:

    • Choose the right installation location, and make a mark;
    • Clean the windshield and make it dry;
    • Take down the lens protection cover of ADAS camera and its 3M sticker;
    • Stick the ADAS camera to the intended location, make sure the camera body is horizontal, andpressto make it fastened to the windshield firmly;
    • Adjust the camera angle by rotating the lens adjustment button to choose the right lens location, make sure the camera will not be obstructed after installation.

Install the Display(Optional)

The display should be installed on the left of steering wheel, then connect it to ADAS camera

Wiring

  1. Arrange the cables from ADAS camera, DMS camera(optional), display(optional) after installation, thenconnect it to the power of the vehicle.
  2. After powering the system on, check if the system is working properly.

System Calibration

Connect the Devices

Install the calibration App provided on an Android smart phone, switch your phone to English.

Go to the smart phone【Setting】, connect to WIFI starting with VDR******, no password;

ADAS Camera Calibration

Click on the ADAS Settings to enter the calibration interface. Use tape to measure the vertical height of
camera to the ground, the distance of the camera to the vehicle head, the distance of the camera tothewindshield left/right edge, and body width of the vehicle and so on, then input data in the app.

When calibrate the ADAS camera, you could choose to skyline or nearby objects as a reference. Whenuse skyline as the reference, adjust the camera angle so that the green line in the APP screen matches
with the skyline.

When use nearby objects, like walls, pillars, etc., as the reference, you should put the reference 5m-6m in front of the vehicle, mark the reference at the same height as the camera, and then adjust thecamera angle to make the green line of App screen matches with the mark. After that, adjust the lens fixing button, and make sure the camera angle is not shifted during the fixation.
